Mercedes Benz Fashion Week Mexico City Spring Summer 2014

Photographers, reporters, and socialité were witnesses of the Mercedes Benz  Fashion Week Mexico City which took place from the 25th until the 29th of September, 2013 in Campo Marte, Mexico City.

Despite the rain and political movements, the city never stopped and did not prevent the great opening with the arrival of fashion and TV celebrities ,  managers and representatives of sponsoring brands. To make our way for the first event of the night  we were witness of the Heineken beer launch party where they celebrate 140 years, of course  with some  beers as commemorative gift.

Late,r during the event, Heineken Director Alejandro Berman made an announcement of being a number one company on environmental level , its tells the efforts of the brand and the compromise of being planet friendly as well of  future plans for the brand.

Green colors rise from everywhere as well the new tv commercials and with this Mercedes Benz Fashion Week began from the moment when Trista Designers appear to talk about their Spring/Summer collection named “Querida Fina” .

Trista

The fashion show was presented with the new concept called “the box” , where the models are like living mannequins doing some slow motion movements without expression on their faces.  Fabrics with raw colors, chiffon and delicate workmanship  gave a reminiscent of the old style and a nostalgic era, but with the combination of lace and  modern details give a new twist to the concept.  Later,  a curtain fell on the back , where you can see the complete collection with many MC Hammer style pants and  draped pieces were  the soul of the collection, the returning of the 80’s style with many other details that this duo of designers who graced the evening with their beautiful pieces and opened the fashion week in Mexico accompanied by tremendous sponsors like Heineken and  Mercedes Benz Mexico.

Macario Jimenez

Macario Jimenez showed a mixed line between femininity, strength and minimalism. The collection includes dresses with flowers and clean lines pieces with plunging necklines and an amazing well done tailored pieces made in taffeta fabric. A serious touch was added with the presence of blazers.

Alejandro Carlín

Soft and feminine silhouettes with a sensual touch. The designer presents amazing pieces with very flowy and see through fabrics and clean cuts, a very decent collection for this kind of the event.

Rapsodia

Rapsodia presented a very bohemian ethnic range of pieces, a very sweet and feminine collection for the evening. The collection featured striped details, ethnic lines in dresses, fun mini skirts and sand flowy fabrics, always showing a little contrast with sequined details.

Angel Sánchez

The designer presents an amazing minimalist collection with structured lines, dark colors but with a funny twist using color like cayenne and celosia orange. Arquitecture and Fashion Design in the same place.

Black

The designers Mauricio Olvera and Leonardo de Lozanne presented a collection that bring us back to the 40’s era, with a modern and sexy twist. On the catwalk you can see the good tailoring and workmanship of the pieces mixed with elegant and sophisticated leather bags, gorgeous shoes in deep tones.

Alexia Ulibarri

Flowing silhouettes that show sensuality in their transparency and romance in floral details and sheer fabrics.

Royal Closet

Collection inspired by multiple cultures and mixed emotions after visiting places like the Middle East and Africa. We are witnessing the return of the trend fisherman pants.

Centro

An incredible garments were used in a very strongly and dramatic way. The Fashion Show presented different designers from the Fashion School CENTRO Martha Pandelo, Aidee Ceballos, Ivana Heredia and Daniela Cordero presented clothes for the confident person, a person that wants to give a statement of strength through the ​​clothes. The materials used were Fur, Lace, lamb hair, velvet, chiffon, vinyl applications, wool fabric and neoprene.

Malafacha

The Fashion line presented a conceptual and experimental work inspired by Japanese dance “Butoh” playing with different textures, such as nylon, cotton, denim and tulle. The colors of the season are white, ivory and camel. This collection show us the amazing result of fusing fashion and art.
